Christmas in Chicago is fantastic for all ages.
These are some of our favorite things to do while in Chicago during the Christmas season.
1.
The Lincoln Park Zoo has thousands of lights and decorations that will surely please any group.
I'm truly amazed by the talent that put their time and effort into bringing such a spectacular site for all to enjoy, and I'm sure you'll fee the same.
The best part is it doesn't cost a dime.

Michigan Avenue offers 1,000,000 lights, and truly isn't a site to be missed.
Go see your favorite shopping area transformed into a winter wonderland of lights.
No admission fee.

Millennium Park offers an excellent city skyline backdrop for your whole group while ice skating on their outdoor ice skating rink.
No admission fee aside from skate rentals, if required.
4.
Christkindlmarket offers a traditional German American Holiday Market in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Come take a look at traditional German holiday eats, decorations, performances, and so much more.
There is no admission fee for this outdoor festival.
5.
Christmas Around the World and Holiday of Light is a holiday celebration of cultures around the world.
Their displays include a 45 foot Grand Tree with over 30,000 lights plus more than 50 other trees decorated by volunteers representing their culture and holiday traditions.

Winter WonderFest at Navy Pier offers families a real winter wonderland experience.
They offer rides, outdoor ice skating, and of course lights and your favorite holiday treats.

A Christmas Carol is Christmas story we're all very familiar with.
This top-notch production can be see at the Goodman Theater.

The Nutcracker is a ballet that the whole family will enjoy even if ballets aren't typical your idea of fun.
The music and dance talent that are part of this production truly put on a show to be remembered.

Macy's really knows how to instill some holiday spirit in all ages.
We highly recommend having lunch time in the Walnut Room, which you'll find is also a favorite among other shoppers.

Holiday Light Display site-seeing is always fun.
Many families in and around the Chicago area invite guests to come see their houses/properties decorate to the nines during the Christmas Season.
Travelling to each house/property can be done by car, or if you're looking for something bigger and luxurious you can charter a Party Bus to transport your group.
